Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly) is a rap musician with a distinct style. Baker was born to an English Scottish German family in Houston, Texas U.S.A. His dad James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployed while the mother Sonia Alane left them when the age of nine. Baker along with his father moved to Denver, where they lived at the house of his dad's aunt. Others in the community had a tendency to bully Baker for being poor. The artist is famous for mixing hip-hop that is contemporary and alternative with rock music in his compositions. Baker had released four mixtapes between 2007 and the year 2010 prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. In the wake of delivering his lyrics faster than a bullet train, this Cleveland rapper saw a rapid rise to fame in 2011. His career changed from self-released tapes before signing with labels. In the following years, every album he released came in at #10 on the chart.
